TAKASHINGA Cricket Club will host a maiden T20 tri-series tournament featuring the Namibia Defence Forces cricket team, Oshiponga, another Zimbabwean side Methane, and Zimbabwe National Army’s White Rhinos.
The matches are scheduled to take place from June 15 to June 18.
On June 15, Oshiponga is scheduled to have a match against White Rhinos, and later the same afternoon, the White Rhinos will be playing against Methane.
The following day, on June 16, Oshiponga will face Methane for the T20 in the morning, and they will play White Rhinos for the fourth T20 in the afternoon.
The third day will feature Methane playing against the White Rhinos in the fifth T20 match, followed by a match against Oshiponga in the afternoon for the sixth T20 game.
The finals will take place on June 17 at 1:00 pm.

The Takashinga facility includes an internationally certified cricket ground that hosted the ICC 50 overs World Cup Qualifiers in June 2023 and it has a history of hosting teams from other countries.
The club hosted the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier, featuring matches with One Day International (ODI) status. Its inaugural ODI took place on June 18, 2023, during a match between West Indies and USA. Earlier Takashinga had hosted the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers.
In June last year, the Takashinga Cricket Club hosted an ODI match between the West Indies and the Netherlands. In addition, there was another ODI match where the United States played against Ireland and Nepal played against South Africa.
Takashinga Cricket Club hosted Uganda for a T20 series in preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Namibia.
