VETERAN Zimbabwe spinner, Graeme Cremer is eyeing a spot in the national team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
The former captain has been in top form in domestic cricket, and he is confident his experience will be invaluable to the team.
“Being away from the wife and kids is tough, but it is a sacrifice we are willing to make to give back to Zimbabwe cricket, and end my legacy on a high,” Cremer said.
The spin maestro believes he has proved his worth in domestic cricket and is ready for the big stage.
Making the World Cup squad would be a culmination of Cremer’s illustrious career, and he’s determined to make the most of this opportunity.
“Making the world cup squad will be a dream come true, and yes, I definitely have what it takes, I feel I have proved that in our domestic cricket, and the world cup being in Sri lanka will be spinner friendly which will suit me, I hope to once again lead the bowling unit and win games for Zimbabwe,” he added.
Cremer’s experience and expertise have been invaluable to his domestic team, Takashinga 1, and he will be looking to bring that same level of professionalism to the national team. With his skill and ability to read the game, he certainly a valuable asset to any team.
