TAKASHINGA Patriots 1 have set their sights on a double as they begin their NPL T20 Blast campaign against boogey side Rainbow Cricket Club at Old Hararians Sports Club this Tuesday afternoon.
The high-octane Premier Club Cricket T20 competition coming hard on the heels of Patriots 1’s triumphant season in the National Premier League 45 overs games, the Highfield-based side are keen to put their hands on the silverware.
Towering seamer Blessing Muzarabani said the adrenaline is always the same nomatter what tournament they participate in.
“Whatever it is, be it domestic cricket or international cricket we play with the same mindset. We want to be the best always and consolidate our status as the biggest club in the country,” said Muzarabani.
“We are going to make sure that we put everything on the line and make sure that we win this tournament again.”
Takashinga Patriots 2 are the defending champions of this format. They begin their title defense against newboys SOGO Rangers at Harare Sports Club this afternoon. Both matches start at 13.45hrs.
However, the 2024/2025 NPL T20 Blast got in motion earlier in the morning with two matches. Gladiators takes on Westside at OH while Queens Sports Club battles Mbizo Cricket Club at Harare Sports Club.
